We’re looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to join our fundraising team at this year’s Royal Cornwall Show. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of Cornwall’s biggest events while helping raise vital funds to support farmers, farming families and rural communities.
What you’ll be doing
· Collecting donations around the showground in allocated pairs
· Speaking with visitors about Farm Cornwall’s work
· Representing the charity in a positive, friendly way
· Supporting awareness and fundraising efforts
You’ll be allocated a specific area of the showground and supported throughout your shift by our Volunteer Coordinator.
Shifts
Morning: 9am–1pm
Afternoon: 1pm–5pm
Volunteers completing a standard 4-hour shift receive a free show day ticket. Shorter shifts may be available but do not include entry. Volunteers are warmly encouraged to support more than one day if possible.
What to expect
This is an active outdoor role involving walking and standing for long periods in all weather conditions, so comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are essential.
We want this volunteering opportunity to be as inclusive as possible. If you’re interested in volunteering but are unsure whether the role would suit your physical needs, please do get in touch, we’d be happy to talk through possible adjustments and explore how we can support you to take part where possible.
Training
All volunteers will be invited to attend a short training session before the show so you feel confident speaking about Farm Cornwall and understand procedures.
Who can volunteer
We’re looking for people who are friendly and confident speaking to the public, reliable and enthusiastic, comfortable outdoors, and aged 16 or over.
Volunteer Thank You
All volunteers will be invited to a special post-show thank-you event to celebrate their contribution.
