Edward to Attend Mind Your Head Reception at The Farmers Club

February 5, 2026

On Friday 13th February, Edward will travel to London to attend a special Mind Your Head reception at the Farmers Club, hosted by The Farm Safety Foundation (Yellow Wellies).

The event will mark the close of this year’s Mind Your Head campaign. The evening will welcome Sam Stables as he completes his extraordinary solo walk from Ross-on-Wye Livestock Market to London, covering 142 miles over five days. His arrival will form part of a wider programme for the reception.

The event has been designed by The Farm Safety Foundation to celebrate four Mind Your Head Heroes from across the UK, recognising their outstanding work to drive positive change in farming communities. The evening will also formally launch the new Farming Pledge, an important milestone for the campaign, which is funded and delivered by The Farm Safety Foundation.

Sam is undertaking his challenge to raise funds for the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs following the government’s decision to withdraw funding. His walk highlights the vital role that Young Farmers Clubs play in giving young people opportunities to socialise, develop new skills, and build confidence, resilience and community spirit, values that resonate strongly across farming communities.

Edward, who has been involved with Young Farmers both personally and professionally, will attend the reception to represent our charity and to show support for the Mind Your Head campaign, The Farm Safety Foundation, and the wider farming community.

We will share Edward’s full letter detailing the realities faced by farming families, the importance of support groups, and reflections from the event next week.
