Join us for an afternoon at Trevear Farm, kindly hosted by Richard and Rachel Thomas. You're welcome to join us for all or part of the day.

Programme:

• 1:30pm – Arrival and meet at Trevear Farm
• 2:00pm – Tour of the potato packhouse
• 3:00pm – Walk around the farm to see the dry cows
• 4:00pm – Tour of the dairy and watch the cows being milked
• From 5:00pm – Refreshments and an early tea

Join us for a farm walk at Downs Farm, kindly hosted by Rob Monk, with thanks to Pete and Di Wastenage for their kind permission.

Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm

Downs Farm is home to a spring block-calving herd of 300 cows, managed on a rotational grazing system that relies heavily on grazed grass, with fodder beet used at the shoulders of the grazing season. The farm extends to 270 acres, with additional land rented to produce winter silage, and forms part of a wider dairy business with other dairy units based in Devon.
