DEFRA has announced that the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2026 will open for applications on 17th March and close at midday on 28th April. This funding offers a great opportunity for farmers and growers to invest in equipment that can support efficiency, sustainability, and animal wellbeing on farm.
The fund supports equipment across three main areas. These include animal health and welfare, slurry management, and productivity improvements. It is designed to help farms introduce practical technology and tools that can make a real difference to day to day operations.
Grants are available from a minimum of £1,000 up to a maximum of £25,000. The grant rate ranges between 40 percent and 50 percent depending on the item being funded.
This is a competitive scheme, so it is worth reviewing the eligible equipment list and guidance carefully before applying.
