A huge thank you to Cornwall Countryside Supplies and everyone who supported their recent Store Open Day, raising an incredible £1,508.50 for Farm Cornwall.

The day brought together customers, suppliers and members of the local farming community, with Farm Cornwall’s Rural Support Manager, Edward Richardson, attending on behalf of the charity. Edward was delighted to receive the cheque and have the opportunity to speak to those attending about the work of Farm Cornwall and the support available to farmers and farming families across the county.

Edward said:

“It was a fantastic day and a great opportunity to catch up with so many people from the local farming community. We’re incredibly grateful to Cornwall Countryside Supplies, their customers, suppliers and everyone who helped raise such a fantastic amount for Farm Cornwall.

“As a small Cornish charity, support like this really does make a difference. Securing the funding we need to operate is becoming increasingly challenging, so it is particularly special to see a Cornish farming business supporting a Cornish farming charity and helping us to continue being there for farmers and farming families across the county.”

Farm Cornwall provides free, confidential and independent support to farmers and farming families across Cornwall. Donations and fundraising from local businesses and the wider farming community play an important part in helping us continue this work and ensure that support remains available when it is needed most.
