We were delighted to attend this year's Open Farm Sunday at Cornhill Farm, where more than 2,000 people came together to celebrate farming and food production.
The event gave local families a fantastic opportunity to experience life on a working farm and gain a better understanding of where their food comes from. Visitors of all ages enjoyed a wide range of activities, including grading and packing eggs in Cornhill Farm's state of the art packing facility, taking a trailer ride around the farm, climbing into the driver's seat of a range of agricultural machinery, and enjoying refreshments in the farm shed.
There was also the chance to meet a variety of local organisations and charities, and we enjoyed speaking to visitors about the work we do to support farmers and their families across Cornwall.
Open Farm Sunday is a brilliant initiative that helps strengthen the connection between farmers and the wider public, giving people the opportunity to see first-hand the care, dedication and innovation that goes into producing the food on our tables.
A huge thank you to everyone at Cornhill Farm for inviting us to be part of such a successful day, and for choosing us as your nominated charity for the event. We are incredibly grateful for your support and for helping raise awareness of the work we do.
