A Royal Cornwall Show to Remember

July 1, 2026

What a fantastic few days we had at this year's Royal Cornwall Show as one of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association's Charities of the Year.

As Farm Cornwall celebrates its 25th anniversary, it was a real honour to be recognised in this way and to have the opportunity to share our work with thousands of visitors from across Cornwall and beyond.

Throughout the show we welcomed hundreds of people to our stand. It was wonderful to catch up with so many familiar faces while also meeting new supporters, farmers, families and organisations who wanted to learn more about what we do and how we support Cornwall's farming community.

One of the most popular features on our stand was our children's toy farm, which was a huge hit with young visitors throughout the show. It provided a fun space for children to play while giving parents and carers the opportunity to take a well-earned seat, enjoy a cup of tea and chat with the Farm Cornwall team about the support we provide.

We also ran a family Treasure Map trail around the showground, encouraging visitors to explore the show while collecting clues from participating businesses. The trail proved incredibly popular with families, and we'd like to extend our sincere thanks to the organisations who helped make it possible through their generous support: Tregothnan, Griggs, Mole Valley Farmers, Cornish Mutual, Lodge & Thomas, Vincents, Parkland Garage Helston (Toyota), Cornwall Young Farmers, LEAF and NFU. We are incredibly grateful for their support in helping create such an enjoyable activity for visitors while celebrating Cornwall's thriving agricultural community.

We were also incredibly proud to be awarded Second Prize in the Trade Stand Competition. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone who helped bring our stand together.

Our presence at the show also reached an even wider audience, with Farm Cornwall featuring twice on ITV News over the course of the event. It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of our work and the importance of supporting the farming community.

One of the biggest highlights of this year's show was the support of our amazing volunteers. For the first time in Farm Cornwall's 25-year history, we recruited volunteers to help represent the charity at the Royal Cornwall Show. Our volunteer collectors spent the event out and about across the showground, engaging with visitors and raising vital funds to support our work.

We are incredibly grateful to every single volunteer who gave their time, enthusiasm and energy over the course of the show. Your support made a genuine difference, and we very much hope this is the beginning of many more opportunities to work together at future events.

On Friday, our Rural Support Manager, Edward Richardson, and Charity Manager, Abigail Badcock, were honoured to attend the Presidents' Lunch. It was a pleasure to meet so many inspiring people from across Cornwall's agricultural community and to celebrate everything that makes the Royal Cornwall Show such a special event.

Whilst it was disappointing that the final day of the show had to be cancelled due to the forecast of exceptionally strong winds, the safety of exhibitors, volunteers and visitors was, of course, the priority. We would like to thank the Royal Cornwall Show organisers for their professionalism in managing the situation and for delivering such a successful event overall.

Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association for selecting Farm Cornwall as one of this year's Charities of the Year. We are incredibly proud to have been part of such a memorable show and are grateful to everyone who visited our stand, donated, volunteered or simply stopped to say hello.

Thank you for helping make this year's Royal Cornwall Show one to remember.
