Royal Cornwall Show 2025

July 7, 2025

Farm Cornwall had a busy three days at Royal Cornwall Show 2025, welcoming many visitors to the stand.  Our rural support team Ed, Louise and Charlie were all kept busy with farmers dropping by to discuss the many challenges of farming but also to share lots of laughs and good news stories.

There were also plenty of lovely comments about the new look charity branding which had its first proper outing on the Farm Cornwall stand. During the show we ran a little competition. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop and write down feedback for the team, especially for the key suggestions you made for future services. The prize draw of the £50 M & S voucher was won by farmers Stephen and Julie from Helston.

As expected, Ed Richardson was kept busy with official engagements. This included The Rt Hon Steve Reed OBE MP, Secretary of State for Environment Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Conversation was inevitably political, likely to be one of many discussions focussed on the importance of farming and food production in the Duchy and especially the issues we know many of you are facing relating to SFI. His visit to the Farm Cornwall stand was preceded by a similar discussion with Shadow Minister Robbie Moore, who among other topics, discussed his campaign in his constituency area of West Yorkshire to petition against the Family Farm Tax.

Also during show Friday, both Ed and Louise were presented to HRH Prince William Duke of Cornwall. This took place during a meeting with many voluntary organisations operating in Cornwall with community outreach projects to support mental health, including in rural settings. The Farm Cornwall team were thrilled when His Royal Highness spotted an opportunity to suggest a collaboration with the Wave Hub charity, which will be happening soon.

Farm Cornwall was very proud to see our Chairman of Trustees, Richard Thomas, officiating in his role of escorting some of the VVIP guests as they moved around the showground to see some of the highlights for 2025.

Farm Cornwall will be at the Royal Cornwall Show again in 2026, but if you cannot wait until then, check out the events section on this website, to see if we are coming to a local agricultural show near you during the summer.
