This 2012 has started late and prices have been sluggish, however crop and price are picking up.
Growers are offering between £200 & £250 per acre per annum on a share farm basis, depending on how far away the ground is from the base farm. With the farmer keeping the SFP, farmer involvement in the share agreement could be ploughing, hedgetrimming, spraying etc and the farmer would be paid for this . Growers are looking for land this year and for next.
